thanks i will update, i have now installed mysql community version and mysql work bench which gives a visual gui for mysql, it did ask for password this time, i will seek guidance if i get into trouble as i start the book ... Amit

Hello Sir, I purchased the book and trying to go for installation of xampp but there is no option to set the password for sql, I do get a window which is exhibit D on page 435, so how do I install mysql, kindly guide , I am yet to start the book , installing the tools like atom, I am on an iMac ....
