HartleySan
Have you ever heard about A/B testing for websites? If not, please check out the following fascinating article: http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2012/04/ff_abtesting/all/1 The whole thing is very exciting and very relevant for any site designed to make revenue, but the article got me to thinking: What would be the most efficient way to implement this? For starters, there would have to be at least two versions of a page. From there, I imagine you'd also need two different DBs or tables in a DB to track the various differences in sales between the sites. But what I'm wondering is, how do you randomly transistion from one site or the other behind the scenes without the user actively noticing it? Does this require some fancy Apache server scripting? Any thoughts are welcome. Thank you.
