lalarukh12
i want to upload web pages on my web site but the ftp client is giving a message that read only files can't be moved. is it a problem of xampp or some other problem?
HartleySan
Like you asked me before, if the files are read-only, you need to remove the read-only attribute. I'm assuming you're using Windows, in which case, please right-click on the file, select Properties, and clear the Read-only checkbox. After that, you should be able to. HartleySan
Oh, I assumed you were talking about image files or something. I'm not sure what FTP server client you're using, but if the client doesn't allow you to upload read-only files, then your only option is to find a way to remove the read-only attribute from the files on the OS side. Beyond that, we really can't help you. I suppose as a quick fix, you could copy all the text in the files to another set of files, and save those as regular (non-read-only) files, which you could probably then upload.
