Unfortunately the second edition is over a decade old and is probably too outdated to recommend. I don't have a plan to update it at the moment. My PHP & MySQL book just came out in a fifth edition and has 100+ pages on MySQL and SQL. It's not quite the same, but maybe it's worth considering.
