No MySql password asked on iMac

Hello Sir,

 

I purchased the book and trying to go for installation of xampp but there is no option to set the password for sql, I do get a window which is exhibit D on page 435, so how do I install mysql, kindly guide , I am yet to start the book , installing the tools like atom, I am on an iMac ....

With XAMPP on Mac OS X, the root MySQL user password should be "root". If not that, then it's nothing (no password), which is totally fine while just starting on a local machine.

thanks i will update, i have now installed mysql community version and mysql work bench which gives a visual gui for mysql, it did ask for password this time, i will seek guidance if i get into trouble as i start the book ...
