winlowdrosilen 0
I'm following Script 8.10 now. I want to send an email to my Gmail address by using mail() function. But I don't know how to adjust the PHP configuration. In Appendix A, Larry mentioned we may need to adjust the php.ini file, but how? Also, I saw on some other websites that I may also need to configure the Mercury/32. Is this true? If yes, how? I'm using XAMPP on Windows 7.
Antonio Conte 426
Search on this forum. This is a pretty common problem. You need to add some config for the mail function to work.

I followed a couple of online tutorials and two YouTube videos but still couldn't get it working. We do actually need a proper guide for this. I'm using XAMPP on Win 7 as well. Like you, I'm trying to send from Mercury Mail (inside XAMPP) to GMail. Actually, I couldn't get it working with Thunderbird either. I moved on to the next chapter and promised myself I would revisit the mail problem later. I
