Hide Default Controller From Url

Is there a way to hide the default controller's name from the URL?

 

So instead of using http://www.domain.com/site/contact it would just be http://www.domain.com/contact ??

 

I only want the default controller's name hidden, not the others.

 

This way I can still have a path as http://www.domain.com/page/view if I wanted to.

Good question! If it's a static, simple case, such as /contact being redirected to site/contact, you can define exactly that as your first rule. So instead of using a flexible, regular expression-like construct such as \w, you'd just use "contact".
