Incomplete Form Not Caught By Display_Error

Recommended Posts

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but your code is wrong. It should be display_errors with an underscore. That being said, display_errors has nothing to do with how completely a form is filled out.

Sorry about the syntax error in my question.

In chapter 3 we learn that inserting the ini_set ('display_errors' , 1); just below the php tag will trigger an error message when submitting an incomplete form. Larry only types in his name, omits email address, This produces an error message. When I submit only a name-- I do not get the error message. I'm no good at explaining things. Maybe you can figure out what I'm asking. Sorry.

It was some days before I realized your response was in my junk mail. Sorry. I tried again tonight and everything worked fine. Apparently just one of those things where one little tiny mistake on my part made it fail. Thanks
