konfused
I publish monthly minutes for a town council web site. I use an "index_of_minutes.php" page with links to the individual minutes which are Word documents. Although I set each document to CHMOD 644, users can save the documents and alter them before printing them. How can I prevent this? Making the documents read-only does not seem to help. Antonio Conte
One solution might be to convert the documents to PDF files. This thread on StackOverflow gives you some clues on how to do it: - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5538584/convert-word-doc-docx-and-excel-xls-xlsx-to-pdf-with-php
