capecodheaven
For some reason when I select a pdf to view it comes up all garbage...i'd paste what comes up but for some strange reason I can't paste the jibberish here...I even tried using Larry's script and it came up with garbage...has anyone had an issue with this???..Thanks...Tom
Antonio Conte
Seems like you are outputting something before you serve the pdf. Because of that, the headers for the PDF file doesn't get taken into account. Remove any echo statements before serving the pdf, and all should be good. Antonio Conte
Possibly an PHP error/warning? Try setting PHP error_reporting to off and set display_errors to false.
capecodheaven
Hi Antonio: I did what you suggested and it worked when I use Mozilla Firefox...but it does not work using IE and I have Windows 8.1 installed...lol. Any ideas why it does not work on IE????...thanks for all your help
Antonio Conte
Because IE is shit... On the more serious side, that sounds more like an header issue. I know IE can be a bit weird about headers, so that is nothing new. I experienced the same kind of problem you got a couple of weeks ago. You can find some info here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1218925/php-script-to-download-file-not-working-in-ie If that doesn't work, keep searching Stack Overflow. I used the google term "pdf download php internet explorer". Good luck and merry Christmas to you guys.
