Christer 0
Hi, I am new to Flash and Flex but have some layman experience with PHP. I test the Flash Builder 4.5 with PHP. The book Effortless FLEX 4 Development is really an excellent introduction and roadmap for understanding what's the difference between s and mx tags and the more. It seems to me that the implementation w PHP is only for retrieving data from MYSQL databases. I have used PHP also for making dynamic images that change with the help of javascripts and it would of course be wonderful if that could be used also in the FLASH/Flex environment. Thus would it be possible to draw a figure with the GD library and display it with FLASH Builder? Sincerely Christer
Larry 428
Thanks for the nice words on the book. It is appreciated. Yes, you could use PHP to generate images that are then shown in Flash (not Flash Builder). Or you could uses Flex's ability to manipulate images to create the images within the Flash application itself.
