DebP
Hi All I downloaded XAMPP 1.7.7 for Windows and followed Larry's installation guide. I've been working through the testing process and all was proving to be a tick in the box until I got to 'configure PHP'. My php info script told me that the php.ini file was in C:windows but it's not there. I've also double checked in the PHP folder and it';s not there either. It does say in the book that if you can't find this file then you'll need to download the file from the PHP website. I've been on the PHP site but can't find a way of downloading just that file. Any ideas? I'd really like to avoid having to un-install and start all over again if possible. Thanks Deb
Larry
Could you post the "active configuration file" value from your phpinfo() output? As for downloading it, you'd need to download the PHP source code and the php.ini file is included in that.
DebP
Hi Larry Sorry being a bit dim here but I don't know what you mean. I've got my PHP info file open but not sure what I'm supposed to be looking for. Do you mean the 'Configure Comand' details? Deb
Jonathon
You're more than likely looking in the wrong place. Its the line below. XAMPP php.ini files are normally C:\xampp\php\php.ini
