OK… I'm an idiot. What I thought was the Mac OS version (#10.1.7.2), was really the XAMP version #. It doesn't work on my old laptop but does on the new computer (with OSX 10.4). Jabo

It looks like XAMP has a version for OS 1.7.3 that should work on my laptop (located at http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-macosx.html, scroll down below the current version download). Thanks to all for the help.

I have an old Mac laptop with OS 10.2.8 that I want to download MySQL and PHP to… but I can't find any links for this particular operating system. Any suggestions (besides get a new computer, I'm poor but I want to learn this stuff)? Installation advice would also be appreciated. Thanks, Jabo
