I'm really happy to join this forum, hope that I won't have to bother you to often with those funny newbie questions ! I'have started Yii learning and I'm trying to do it by the book, actually by Larry's Yii book.
I got stuck for a while page 55 with the .htaccess thing, but some time on the forum helped me :
First I had to move the .htaccess file from the application folder (moved as recommended from the www folder) to the root of my web site (where index.php is located)
Then change the .htaccess file as explained (and not forget to discard the old content deny from all ...)
It was more or less working until I activated the rewrite_module in my Apache server (WAMP)
So I can move to page 56, now.
