ssugiyama48
I am having an unusual problem. When I first use your examples (on a MacBook Pro, OSX Mountain Lion, latest edition, using MAMP Pro) in Dreamweaver, they work (Chapter 15, test.html and calculator.html). However, after I make a change to a file, following your ebook, the html files cannot seem to locate jQuery. So, I try the original example again, and it now does not work. I am puzzled! I also use Textastic on my iPad (3rd generation) and your examples work fine. (However, it could be just due to the fact that the iPad does not support server-side access and programming.) I checked on Adobe's website and the recommendation is to delete the personal MacFileCache ---.dat file (which I did, and the problem still continues), then to try deleting the entire personal Configuration folder (which I did, and the problem still continues). HELP!!!
ssugiyama48
Another point of information regarding my topic: I also have the original Chapter 15 files located in a folder outside of MAMP/htdocs. When I access these files in Dreamweaver CS6 the code runs without a problem. So, it appears the problem is with MAMP or my settings in MAMP. I still need help! ssugiyama48
I think I discovered the problem because it all works now. (1) I deleted my personal configuration file as per Adobe's suggestion. (2) I then explored and discovered that my download of query version 1.8.0 did not work. I re-downloaded and found version 1.8.1 available, so downloaded it. My files work again!!!
