haitan Posted January 15, 2012 Share Posted January 15, 2012 Hi all, After changing the root user password using phpMyAdmin, I cannot connect to mySQL using MAMP. I did what the instruction on the installation appendix told me by going to the config.inc.php file and changing $cfg['Servers'][$1]['password'] = 'my_new_password'; . Yet, I cannot connect to mySQL. I tried using connecting through terminal, and it cannot connect either. I have been stuck on this problem for a long time. PLEASE help. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Paul Swanson Posted January 16, 2012 Share Posted January 16, 2012 It will need to match what is in my.ini, which is MySQL's config file, so if you didn't change that one you will need to change it to match what you put in phpMyAdmin.
